Rider’s Smokehouse, Central Texas Inspired BBQ, is owned and operated by

Ardis and Jim Rider, and brings amazing smells and flavors to the Valley View

Square, Valley View, Tx. Most of the legendary smoked BBQ meat palaces in

Central Texas use the counter service method, and Rider’s Smokehouse is no

exception. It's all served over the counter on butcher paper. Flatware, paper

plates, and BBQ sauces may be found on the beverage and condiment bar.

The brisket, pork spare ribs, pulled pork, Fischer’s Meat Market sausage links,

chicken, turkey breast, meatloaf wrapped in a bacon weave, salmon, bacon

wrapped jalapenos stuffed with brisket and cheese, and other meats are slow

smoked over Texas oak. The meats are right off the smoker and cut to order.

Cold drinks, including beer and wine, sides, and desserts are found in the self-

serve case. BBQ beans with chunks of brisket are one of Rider’s specialties.
